Kim Martin – Clinical Myotherapist

Kim Martin holds the highest qualification in myotherapy, a Bachelor of Health Science – Clinical Myotherapy, which is the result of a four-year university course conducted at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. The clinical myotherapy course has a focus on the assessment and diagnosis of the cause of pain and injury, rather than just treating the problem.

With a sporting background, Kim has developed a special interest in assisting sports people prevent injuries, as well as quickly recover from injury and trauma, and also has an interest in posture correction and assists her patients in making small changes to address poor posture, which can significantly assist in reducing chronic pain.

While studying, Kim was also awarded the Outstanding Achiever in Dry Needling Award – an honour only presented once a year.

At Geelong Natural Therapies Kim performs a range of myotherapy functions within sessions including deep tissue massage, myofacial dry needling and myofacial release.
